"Why John McCain is Unfit To Lead" :::::::: I am writing to express my particular dismay at this past week's campaign tactic from the John McCain camp. By trying to paint Barack Obama as a "socialist" and a "liberal", John McCain and his surrogates are doing two things that are unconscionably despicable coming from a man who would presume himself "qualified" to lead a free nation: 1) John McCain is taking willful advantage of a lack of education and ignorance among some Americans by mis-using words like "Socialist" and "Liberal" to describe Barack Obama. Adjectives like these are patently untrue about Barack Obama as anyone would know who's paid attention in a 9th grade civics class, and earnestly researched Barack Obama. 2) John McCain is compounding and perpetuating the social plagues of mis-information and willfull ignorance in our country. He is taking advantage of people who are uneducated and ignorant by spreading un-truths about terms like "socialism" "democracy" and "capitalism". Understanding of these and concepts like these is vital for a people who would live self governed in the "land of the free and the home of the brave". John McCain undermines this country's very foundations when he misleads people by misusing these concepts as political mud to sling. These two points are examples of incompetent leadership. They exemplify how John McCain continually violates core principals of competent leadership with his campaign ploys. I am shocked, horrified, apalled, that a decorated military man of John McCain's stature would run for president and be so lacking in the integrity and principal needed in a U.S. president. I sincerely hope that our media (a.k.a. "free press") will take up their role in this nation and correct the malfeasonous mis-infomation spewing forth from the John McCain Campaign. This is a disgrace to all Americans of all race color creed gender political affiliation and any other demographic slice or dice that can be thought up.
